Ivan started sitting up on his own a couple days before he was seven months old. This video was taken while we were taking his 7 month pictures on the chair. We have to put him in position, but he is holding himself up longer each time.

From Peas to Prune Juice
Well, the good news today is that Ivan's able to hold a bottle all by himself. The bad news is that his bottle had to contain watered down prune juice.
But as you might guess from the picture, he didn't mind drinking it. I guess that would be the other good news!
We started him on his third vegetable two days ago, peas. Actually, he was being served peas and carrots mashed together since he had already had carrots, and that was the combo that we had in the freezer. Anne has been making all of Ivan's food.
Ivan LOVED the peas and carrots, and he actually ate them up without any cereal accompanying them. Too bad the peas don't seem to be loving him back right now. Poor little guy!
He seems to be doing better and is sleeping peacefully for the night, so far. What do they say?? This too shall pass. HA!

Visit from Uncle Jordan
Uncle Jordan and his puppy, Patience, came to visit this weekend. We had lots of fun hanging out in the backyard, enjoying the beautiful weather, going to the pottery fair to see Anne's friend Sarah, eating fajitas (Cinco de Mayo a bit early), and playing with butterflies.
Today we went to the Butterfly Show at the Krohn Conversatory. This year's show features butterflies from the continent of Asia. For more info, go here: http://www.butterflyshow.com/
This is a house off of Erie Ave in Cincinnati. We drove by it while looking for a Thai restaurant earlier today, and Jordan got out to take pictures of it. If I find out the story behind the house, I'll update later. Either way, it's pretty cool!
